Our History
Founded in 1971, we began as The Cabbage Patch, a group home for developmentally disabled children. In 1984, we moved to our present location in Mill Valley, a 3/4-acre site, with valley views of flowers and trees. We were renamed Casa Fairview to reflect the maturity of our consumers, who now range in age from 21 to 55. We are one of the oldest facilities in operation, serving Marin Country for over 30 years.

Our Mission
Our mission is to offer our consumers a comfortable, home-like setting with an opportunity for growth toward each individual's potential. Our primary goal is to help each consumer develop self-esteem and self-sufficiency. We teach skills for a level of autonomy appropriate for his/her capacity, including self-care and independent living. Our consumers are encouraged to participate in community activities. Our staff work as a team with an on-call psychologist and other professionals who are adept at devising and revising individual programs and strategies to help each consumer flourish.
